Evening Arrivals (5:00pm - 10:15pm)

After the resort closes, The Schneider Hotel runs a regular snow van shuttle to/from the hotel 5:15pm to 10:15pm. If you are arriving at the Chuo Bus Terminal after 5:00 pm you will need to take a taxi or walk up to the oversnow meeting point. The first snow van shuttle leaves at 5:15 pm.

To pre-book a taxi please contact Nozawa Onsen Kotsu at 0269-85-3333 (English speakers available).

Late Arrivals (after 10:15pm)

The Schneider Hotel’s location on the mountain makes it an amazing place for a ski holiday, but there are some logistics getting to the hotel, so we do discourage late-night arrivals. If you want to arrive after the last shuttle bus leaves at 10:15 pm, you will need to reserve a late-night pickup in advance.

There is an additional fee of 5,000yen for arrivals after 10:15 pm as we must arrange a driver to collect you. Late-night pick-ups must be reserved in advance so please contact schneider@staynozawa.com to make a reservation.

Taxi / Airport Shuttle

To book a direct airport shuttle with us, please submit the booking form. If you are arranging a private taxi or transfer please ask your driver to drop you at The Nagasaka Gondola.

Our oversnow meeting point for arrivals is outside the Craft Room Cafe which is opposite the Nagasaka Gondola. Please contact us with your intended arrival time so we can coordinate your luggage collection from the over snow meeting point

Driving to Nozawa Onsen

If you are planning to drive to Nozawa Onsen, please note that you cannot drive directly up to The Schneider Hotel. Roads leading up to the hotel are closed the entire snow season.

We recommend that hotel guests park in the ski resort overnight parking (P2 near Karasawa) or the village underground parking facility at Shinden. You will first need to drop off passengers and luggage to our over snow meeting point outside The Craft Room Cafe. Unfortunately, either parking lot will require a bit of a walk for the driver.

During ski resort operating hours, the ski resort runs a shuttle bus from both recommended parking lots to P1 near Nagasaka Gondola. We get a lot of snow in Nozawa Onsen! Your vehicle must have snow tires and winter wipers and we strongly recommend four-wheel drive.
